We will answer all of your questions!

Does it consume a lot compared to other systems?

No. The system allows the use of the Rate with Hourly Discrimination (2.0 DHA) with a saving of up to 45% on the price of kW. Also our system incorporates a perfect thermal insulation, which significantly improves the quality of housing and contributing to energy savings and efficiency.

How is the heating system controlled?

The system is independent from its origin, as each radiant film is composed of independent strips of graphite smoke. At the same time, each film is independent and each room is controlled by programmable chronothermostats that adapt to the requested ambient temperature, taking advantage at all times of any heat source close to the system (solar, luminous, people).

In the event of a breakdown, would the entire pavement have to be lifted?

No, first, the radiant film goes through a rigorous control, being tested on three occasions: 1) in the manufacturing process, 2) once the installation of the heating system has been completed, before adding the screeds and 3) after the screeds. Here is a difference in relation to other radiant systems. Another is that in each space independent films are distributed, not being thus a continuous circuit. It also incorporates neutral security bands in its structure. For that reason, in the circumstance of some problem, it would intervene in the zone of the problem with an easy identification and solution.

Can this system be installed under any pavement?

In principle, it can be installed under any type of pavement, since there are different powers of the film suitable for each pavement, except for those that are 100% insulating.

How does it work?

The system is based on the arrangement of a series of radiant films integrated in the floor itself by means of a control, both of the floor and of the environment, emitting a gentle heat radiation to the rooms. The scope of application of the radiant films is mainly directed towards residential use (residential buildings, singular buildings, single-family homes, industrial warehouses, commercial premises, etc.), although the system takes on special prominence in housing reforms, given that the films installed under a floating floor practically do not alter its height.

Is it necessary to complement the system with some kind of extra heat emitter?

No. One of its great advantages is the total absence of radiators, boilers, shut-off valves and fuel tanks. The customer will forget about cleaning burners, water leaks, lime in pipes, etc.. The system is more than enough to heat the house with maximum comfort.

It's been said that this heating system can cause circulation problems, isn't it?

That's not true. The heat emitted from the floor will never exceed 29ºC, according to IT.IC.02.11 as it is controlled by a probe thermostat (which regulates the temperature of the floor). Sanitarily speaking, this system is recommended by professionals, since it does not influence the natural humidity of the environment, eliminating respiratory and allergic problems caused by other conventional systems. In fact, installations have been carried out in Clinics, Hospitals, Health Centres, etc.

Is it expensive to install? How expensive is it to maintain?

No. We found that it is within the values of other heating systems, with a great advantage to achieve a high level of comfort and welfare. As far as maintenance is concerned, we usually say that, "unfortunately", it is zero.

Is there a problem with wood pavement?

Let's remember that the pavement only reaches 29ºC. It should be noted that this temperature does not affect the wood at all, although it is important that the wood is dry, with a degree of humidity not exceeding 8%. With our heating system, given the experience gained in countless installations, there is no problem in being able to reduce this humidity, putting it into operation, if we doubted the optimal level of drying.
